Castle Mountain - Banff National Park Following WWII, this mountain was renamed Eisenhower Mountain in honor of General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander - Europe. However, there was such an outcry from locals and travellers from around the world, the Canadian Government renamed it back to Castle Mountain and called the highest peak (the one on the right) Eisenhower Peak.
